Strangulation hazard

  • Keep adapter cords and the Womy Sleeper air hose out of your child’s reach.
  • Never route the airflow tube over the top of the crib.
  • Do not place the crib near windows, blinds, or curtain cords, as these present a strangulation risk.
  • Never suspend strings, pacifier cords, or toys with strings over the crib.

Suffocation hazard

  • Never use plastic bags, plastic film, or other loose covers as mattress protectors, as they pose a suffocation risk.

Safe sleep guidelines: crib

  • Always place infants on their back to sleep, unless otherwise advised by a physician.
  • Use a firm mattress that fits snugly. Maximum gap between mattress and crib edges: 2 cm. The mattress should not be too tight in the crib.
  • Press the mattress firmly on all edges to ensure a flat, secure surface.
  • Never use improvised covers, nets, or barriers inside the crib.
  • Do not carry or move the crib with your infant inside.
  • Always remove your baby before adjusting crib height or converting crib modes.
  • Ensure at least 10 cm free space around the crib for ventilation and safe access.

Adjust crib height

  • Use the high position for newborns.
  • Once your child can push up on hands and knees or at 6 months (whichever comes first), move the mattress or base to the low position.
  • When your child can stand, use the lowest position only and remove bumper pads, large toys, or climbing aids.
  • Discontinue crib use when the child can climb out or reaches 89 cm in height.
